The League of Women Voters has a long history of being a strong advocate for affordable housing. On Tuesday, Nov. 19, our League is co-sponsoring a forum with other supportive groups to host a panel of housing experts who will discuss the current situation. Panelists will be: Rep. Alice Hausman, Chair of the Minnesota House of Representatives Housing Committee; Cathy ten Broeke, Executive Director of the Minnesota Interagency Council on Homelessness; and Maria Wetherall, Director of Ramsey County Veterans Services who chairs Heading Home Ramsey, a community-wide partnership that seeks to end homelessness for veterans in Ramsey County.
The program is organized by the Roseville Area League of Women Voters and co-sponsors are: League of Women Voters Saint Paul, Council of Metropolitan Area Leagues (CMAL), the Community Action Network (CAN) that addresses
Homelessness in Suburban Ramsey County, Centennial United Methodist Church and Hamline Church United Methodist. The event will be held at Centennial United Methodist Church, 1524 Co. Rd. C-2 W., Roseville at 6:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
