Description: A Japanese-American bi-coastal woman inherits a Nebraska wheat farm and spends a summer following the conservative Christian harvesters from Texas to Idaho. Her basic question is "Why is it that so many conservative Christians believe in creationism and reject evolution, but use GMOs, while my friends in the city don't believe in God, but do believe in evolution and want organic food." How do we bridge the great divide? A story of religions, agriculture, technology, geography, landscapes, history (including the Comanches and Quanah), and identity.
